Patriarchal conditioning is so effing  brilliant in design and construction.

Have been a witness of a woman going through emotional, mental and physical abuse by husband. When confronted, the husband, the father-in-law and, to my surprise, over a period of time the father too started becoming peace loving gentlemen. No acknowledgement and admitting of the crime but want to f*****g live in peace. The abuse definitely has brought back painful memories and state of being of a woman in the mother, who is resolute to save the girls in the family from this abuse disguised as tradition.

What is annoying to me is that men are unable to empathize with daughters, wives and sisters after long arguments because they are trapped in their powerful bubbles held strong by the  norms. As a man, it's so tiring to see this everyday. Don't know how women tolerate this bullshit, sometimes through out a lifetime.

What is hopeful is that, woman takes a brave step to fight when they get even a little bit of support and voice. So I've decided to stand by her.
