It is true actually when they say that there do not exist "demons" as such, outside in this age, but yes the "demoniac instinct" is always present in everyone along with the goodness in them. There were divine incarnations to ward off these demons in the previous ages, but now the task is on everyone to ward off these demoniac instincts from within by themselves. This requires a great deal of belief and faith in goodness and the ways of achieving it.
